{Maravilla Gardens} This charming wedding site is located conveniently off the 101 Freeway in Camarillo, California. If you were a passerby, you might think that it was simply a family home. If you turn off Santa Rosa Rd into the drive way of 8620, you immediately realize you have escaped to much more. This lush, green landscape was designed and is managed by the very own Maravilla Family. Inspired by their own daughter’s wedding, Tony and Jo Maravilla set to create this beautiful wedding venue. After 7 years, Maravilla Gardens is one of Camarillo’s premier wedding venues.

Recently, myself and the very talented Aaron Young took some time to visit a few of our favorite Ventura County wedding venues.

We both grew up in Camarillo, California and it has been a very long time since each of us permanently resided in the town, yet there is that unique feeling when we drive north from Orange County and descend into Camarillo off the grade… No matter where life may lead us, Camarillo is home.

Whether you are from the Ventura County area or not, I urge you to explore your options in incredible wedding venues much closer than you might think.

Love & Laughter Events: Real Wedding: Casa Romantica: Jos & Lindsay Married.

We could not be more excited to share with you the incredible story, details and photos from the wedding of Jos & Lindsay. As very close friends of ours, it was my absolute pleasure to help plan and coordinate their special day.

From the very beginning this couple had unique and creative ideas for their wedding. Lindsay and Jos combined their love for each other as well as their family and friends with their passion for comedy and love for romantic vintage style.

This wedding’s inspiration came from their ultra unique wedding invitation which was designed to look like an vintage newspaper! The “Romantica Times – Special Edition” announced the merger of the two families, included the social, society, classifieds, funnies, weather and travel sections which were all tailored to reflect their wedding day and information.

Every detail was thought of and so beautifully executed. Some of my favorite details include : the ceremony beverage station, chalkboard signs, handmade cake topper to match the bride’s dress, personal bundt cakes for all of the guests (the bride’s favorite!), vintage ticket carousels for the escort cards, gorgeous ceremony programs & menu cards designed by bridesmaid Lauren, and the bride’s personal project: an incredible “How do you know the Bride & Groom” board which included every guest and their photo!
